All Roads Lead to Street

Ashton Ladies travel to BA16 0TA this weekend to face a resurgent Street Ladies side. Last time the teams met at Manor Farm on January 12th 2025 Ashton came away winners in a 2-0 win.

Both matches last season seen the side based in Bristol win 2-0 with goals from Freya Smith at the Tannery in January and at home at BMF and Beth Oliver converting the second at home. Both players will be missing from this fixture, but an up and coming Ashton team with a host of new players and experience, have gelled well over pre-season and winning the first match against Porlock 3-1 have given the team a lift.

Street finished 2024/2025 season in 6th place and just 4 points behind Ashton who themselves finished 4th in the league for the second successive season.

Team manager Steve Ponsford is looking forward to the fixture with both teams that have started the season well. Missing a fixture last weekend wasn't ideal, but Ashton need to continue the form with some key players missing.
